The itinerary the Guardabarranco Environmental Movement organised for Molly during in Nicaragua

There are many branches throughout the country and their activities can be viewed on Facebook. They met us at the airport and disappeared with Molly, taking her on an adventure around Nicaragua for two weeks. She has done a few posts on her experience in the conservation section. Below is what was organised.

Monday June 24 2024


1. Meeting Meeting with the National Council of the Guardabarranco Environmental Movement and the Ministry of Youth, where we will present Campaigns, Activities and Events of love and Care for Our Mother Earth. Video conference Room of the Ministry of Youth, 10:00 A.M.

Monday June 24
2. Reforestation Day, Accompanied by Environmental Brigades of Young University Students and Environmental Volunteers of the Department.

Tuesday June 25
3. Meeting with Brigade members participating in the Green Schools and Universities Competitions. National Agrarian University, Managua 10:00 A.M.

Wednesday June 26
4. Day of Health and Care of our Pets, with young Veterinary University students. Palestine Park, Managua 04:00 P.M.

5. Tour and Hiking through Flower Gardens with young nurserymen, farmers and flower entrepreneurs. La Gallina Nursery, Catarina, Masaya. 10:00 A.M.

Thursday June 27
6. Environmental Excursion through a tour of Emblematic Volcanoes of Our Country with Community Environmental Promoters. Cerro Negro volcano and tourist places, 07:00 A.M. South Leon.

7. Exposition on the types of animal and plant species that are in the process of adapting to our climates.  Jacinto Baca Jerez Experimental Farm, 02:00 P.M. North Leon.

9. Guided tour of a wildlife refuge promoting the importance of conservation of our sea turtles. Chacocente, Santa Teresa, 02:00 P.M. Carazo

10. Workshop on the importance of bat conservation in Nicaragua. Mombacho Natural Reserve, 08:00 A.M. Grenade.  

Sunday June 30
11. Talk about care, protection and importance of our local fauna. Thomas Belt Zoo, 08:00 A.M. Chontales
               

Monday July 1st
12. Environmental hiking in natural reserves promoting direct contact with nature. La Chorrera Natural Reserve, San José de los Remates, 02:00 P.M. Boaco. 

Thursday July 4th
15. Youth Excursion promoting Measures for the conservation, protection, restoration and sustainable use of resources. Cerro Guisisil, 09:00 A.M. Matagalpa South.

Friday, July 5
16. Mass reforestation day promoting the conservation of our natural reserves with young people from our neighborhoods and communities. Aranjuez Reserve, 09:00 A.M. Matagalpa center.

Sunday July 7
17. Tourist promotional visit to our protected reserves. Cuevas del dorado, 10:00 A.M. The Mines

Tuesday July 9
18. Visit in contact with the Environment with young nature lovers. El Duende Hot Springs Natural Reserve in the Municipality of Macuelizo, 09:00 A.M. New Segovia Southeast.

Thursday July 11
20. Excursion and sighting of local flora and fauna, promoting its care and conservation. Puerto San Carlos, 07:00 A.M. San Juan River.

Friday July 12
21. Community hiking through protected areas promoting love and conservation of our mother Earth. Colonia Los Angeles, 10:00 A.M. Zelaya Central I.
